Welcome New Members
We welcome the following players who have recently joined our member family:
Judy and Dan Coelho with Michael and Steven, and Mike and Tamara Higgins. Our new Junior Members are: Matt Watson, Zach Witmyer, Bobby Smith, Ricardo Ramirez, Ben Patel, Alex Smailes, Dane Clark, Mark Penner, Jayson Heubusch, Megan Scanlan, Carolyn Smith, Corey Maynard and Emily Dutton. We are especially thrilled to welcome so many Juniors Members and to introduce them to this great sport. We're sure that they'll accumulate many pleasant memories and make lots of new friends playing tennis at our Club.
Easter Sale Apr 5-11
An Easter Sale is happening at the Tennis Pro Shop from Monday, April 5th – Easter Sunday, Apr 11th. All apparel will be marked down 25-50%, accessories 25%, and shoes and rackets will be discounted by 20%.
19th Annual Club Championships
The 19th annual Club Championships will be held at the Bluewater Bay Tennis Center on May 1st – May 2nd. It’s a “member only” event and the divisions are as follows: Men’s and Women’s Open, A, B, C, D Singles and Doubles and Mixed Doubles Open, A, B, C, and D. Entries are limited to two events per player. The Awards Banquet is scheduled for Sunday, May 2nd 6pm at the Bluewater Bay Clubhouse Restaurant.
Entry forms are located at the Tennis Pro Shop and the entry deadline is Tue, Apr 27th .
Habitat for Humanity Tournament
The 11th annual Habitat for Humanity Tournament will be held at Bluewater Bay Tennis Center on April 16 – 18. This year’s event will feature singles, doubles, and mixed doubles based on NTRP ratings (ability level). Entry fees are $ 30 for singles, and $ 20 per person for doubles. T-shirts and Saturday lunch will be provided for all players.
This year’s tournament is also Bluewater Bay’s stop in the Emerald Coast Grand Prix circuit. The circuit consists of six tournaments in the region with prize money being offered the finals. Players qualify for the finals by accumulating points in the first five events.
Be sure to sign-up before the April 13th deadline and join us for all the fun and to help a worthwhile cause.
Summer Junior Development
The summer junior development schedule will be available in the pro shop and on the website by mid-April. This year, each session will last for one week (Monday through Thursday). USA Team Tennis and Rallyball will be held on Friday afternoons. Please check back soon for more details.
