Welcome New Members

Valentines Day Sale
The annual Valentines Day Sales is scheduled for Feb 07th through the 15th. Shoes and rackets will be discounted 20%. Apparel purchases are discounted 25-50% and bags and accessories will be reduced 25%. Check out this storewide sale and don’t miss out on the great buys.
Valentines Social Feb 21st
A member social, organized by the Bluewater Bay Tennis Association, is scheduled for Sat, Feb 21st, starting at 10am. Please show up at 9.30am to register. There is a small fee of $5.00 per person, to be paid at registration. The format is a Mixed Doubles Round Robin (blind draw). The emphasis is on tennis, food and FUN! Come out to meet and welcome new players and enjoy a fun day of tennis. Sign-up sheets are posted at the Tennis Center Pro Shop. Please sign up in advance with or without a partner. Bluewater Bay Adult Designated
Bluewater Bay hosted the Adult Designated tournament again January 30th through February 1st. This year’s event was even bigger and better than in the past. Prize money was added in the Men’s Open divisions; and the result was perhaps the strongest draw for any area tournament. The tournament drew participants from five states and four countries. A dinner was also added for Saturday night. If you missed this year’s event, mark your calendar for the same time next year and join in on the fun! This tournament is only going to get bigger and better with each passing year. Papa John’s Junior Masters
Our first USTA sanctioned junior tournament of the year is scheduled for March 13th through the 15th. As the title would indicate, Papa John’s is sponsoring this event and providing Saturday lunch. We encourage all tournament level juniors to participate and earn points toward the year end District 1 Masters Championship. Entry deadline for this event is March 11th.
Player to Watch
With school tennis kicking into high gear during this time
of year, we would like to recognize the most successful high school player in
the area. Adrienne Roesler is not only one of the strongest players in the
Panhandle, but is training to repeat if not improve her high school showing last
year by going undefeated during the regular season and advancing to semifinals
of the state championships. If you have an opportunity, go out and support our
Niceville Eagles tennis team and watch players like Adrienne battling other area
talent.
Junior Development
The next session of junior development is scheduled for March 15th through May 14th, with a break for school spring break the week of April 12 – 16. Use this time to work on your game to get ready for all this summer’s tournaments.
