USTA 4.0 Adult and Senior Tennis Teams
If
you are interested in playing USTA League Tennis at the 4.0 Level, Adult and/or
Seniors, please contact Brad Cunningham at 897-3622 or E-mail him at ebc@cyou.com.
Seniors
Qualifications: You must be at least 50 years old by 31 Dec 02
to play during the 2002 season which starts approximately Mar or Apr 02.
You
can play in both USTA Leagues, Adult and Seniors, if you are at least
50. You can also play in the USTA Mixed Doubles League as well. The
Mixed Doubles League starts approximately Jan or Feb, Seniors League starts
approximately Mar or Apr, and the Adult League starts approximately May or
Jun.

and Northwest Florida Lady’s Team Updates:
.. Bluewater Bay Teams have
done extremely well in the Northwest Florida Tennis Association this past
session.
.. Northwest Florida Lady’s
League Results: Topspins finish
1st in III, Alleycats 2nd in I.
.. In Flight 4 The Beachbums
(Capt. Mary Peterson), also known as The Rackateers, came in 4th
place.
.. In Flight 3 Bluewater was
represented by two teams, the Diehards (Capt. Carol Staton) and the Topspins
(Capt. Terri Markowski). The
Topspins won their flight and will move up to flight 2 in January.
Congratulations! The
Diehards finished in 4th place.
.. The Flight 2 team
‘Winjammers’ (Capt. Marie Roesler) ended up in 6th place.
.. In Flight 1 The Alleycats
(Capt. Lori Goodwin) ended up in 2nd place, the Castaways (Capt. June
Peterson) played their way into 3rd place, and the Classics (Capt.
Nancy Kujawa) finished in 6th place.
.. Pensacola Lady’s League
Results: The Pensacola Teams had some real cliffhangers.
.. The Flight 1 team (Capt.
Nancy Kujawa) escaped a narrow defeat and kept their position in Flight 1.
.. Of the two teams playing in Flight 2 (Capt. Meeboer and Gardecki) the Gardecki team won this flight by being one set ahead of the co-leader. Congratulations on your move to the top!

Bluewater
Bay Adult Designated Tournament Feb 1st- 3rd:
The 2002 Adult Designated is here. This year’s sponsors are Vanguard Bank and Bluewater Orthopedics. Age divisions are Men’s and Women’s Open, 35, 45, 55, 65, and 75’s Singles and Doubles. There will also be Open and 45’s Mixed Doubles. For the less competitive there will be a non-sanctioned Men’s and Women’s “B” and “C” Singles, Doubles, and Mixed, as well as, a juniors only “B” and “C” division. This promises to be a well-attended, fun event. The deadline to sign up is Monday January 28th so get your entry in early.
After
School Junior Program finishes January 18th and new six-week session
begins January 28th:
Both Rallyball (5-10 years of age, beginner level) and Junior Team Tennis (intermediate to advanced level of play) will begin a new six-week session starting January 28th. Classes run daily from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Junior Members receive the best rates. This session runs through March 8th. For more information double click on the clinics link.
