Junior Development

The summer junior development begins the week of May 23rd and runs on a weekly basis through the end of July (with a break during the week of the 4th of July).  We will also have junior team tennis matches meeting on Fridays and/or Saturdays.  Call and ask for Doug or Chad to get more information.

A New Pro!!

Chad Cage will join the teaching staff at Bluewater Bay Tennis Center as of May 10th.  Chad comes to Bluewater Bay from Georgetown, Texas; where he served as the head coach of the Southwestern University men's and women's tennis teams.  During his term, he also was on staff at the Berry Creek Racquet Club.  We are glad to have Chad on staff at Bluewater Bay and welcome everyone to come out and enjoy his great lessons.

New Guard

As of May 1st, Doug Barthel and Barthel Enterprises, LLC will be operating the Bluewater Bay Tennis Center.  As Maria; and now, Bert, are allowed to enjoy these great facilities without worry or stress (no, Bert will not stress); Doug will be the person to address all complaints, suggestions, and comments (even the occasional positive one) towards.  Hopefully, all members will experience a seamless transition from the past structure to the new one.  Gradually, members will notice small changes -- which I hope we will all see as positive changes.  The first of which will be the improvement of the court conditions.  With a record rainfall month, the weather has taken a toll on the courts.  The court maintenance staff has done an excellent job to keep the courts playable throughout these trying times, and now we are trying to get the courts back to their pristine state.  We want all members to be proud to have opponents play at their home courts.  If there is any way I can help increase your enjoyment of our facilities, please let me know.
